My name is Ms. Phillips, and I am happy to start my sixth year here at Morgan Park High School. I have taught a wide range of mathematics classes from seventh grade mathematics up through AP Calculus. I am a math nerd, I love to crunch numbers, and I hope you will learn to enjoy it as well!
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. After my undergraduate degree, I went through an alternative teacher certification program partnered between Northwestern's NU-Teach and the Chicago Teaching Fellows. Through this program I obtained my teaching certification at Northwestern University. I also earned my Masters of Science in Education- Secondary Mathematics Education at Northwestern University.
When I am not at Morgan Park or grading papers I try to stay busy and dive into some adventure. I love to travel, I box recreationally, I love waterskiing and being on a lake, and more recently I am currently taking lessons to gain my private pilot's license. I also am a huge sports fan, especially the Chicago Bears and Illinois basketball.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, comments, or concerns.
