Morgan Park High School is committed to ensuring that each student has a post-secondary plan when they graduate. Counselors and Post-secondary Team Leaders will work with students, parents, college representatives, and military personnel to help identify a strategic and personal post-secondary path.
Each senior student is expected to:
Participate in senior post-secondary planning events with counselors.
Complete the Individual Learning Plan tasks in Naviance.
Complete and submit the Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Complete at least 5 applications for college, including a match* school.
Create a student profile on www.cps.academicworks.com
Complete at least 5 scholarship applications.
Retake/ take the SAT/ACT test.
Complete a Senior Exit Questionnaire/ Summer Transition Tracker and graduate with a post-secondary plan.
*Match schools are determined by the student's grade point average (GPA) and standardized test score. You can find a spreadsheet with colleges and the selectivity for a student's match below.
