UDA Summer Dance Camp
The Morgan Park HS Pom Team participated in The Universal Dance Association (UDA) Dance Camp at Eisenhower HS on July 17-19, 2015. The Pom Team received the top award for Team Leadership Award for displaying great team leadership skills and giving outstanding performances. They also received a Superior award for receiving a high number of Blue Ribbons for their UDA Routine Performances. Two team members, Shavon White and Poet Muhummad received special Pay it Forward Award Pins.
The Team competed against school dance teams from the South Suburbs Eisenhower, Marist, Oak Lawn, Evergreen Park, Morton, Reavis, Bremen, Thornton Fractional. We were the only school from Chicago and from the Chicago Public Schools. The team also have received an invitation to participate in the National UDA in Orlando,Florida in which top teams are televised on ESPN.

IDTA State Championships.
The Morgan Park HS Pom Team were the first CPS School Dance Team to win four IDTA State Championships in Hip-Hop in their division from 2008-2011. They have also placed third in State for Pom Dance twice.
CPS City Championships
With CPS City Championship, they have been the reigning City Champions in Large Varsity Poms until last December . They have been CPS City Champions from 2000-2006 and 2008, 2010,2011, 2012,2013 & 2014. In 2009, they were
CPS Hip-Hop Champions. In 2010, Coach Darlene W. Pollard was selected as CPS Female Coach of the Year.

CPS CITY LARGE VARSITY POM CHAMPIONS
Morgan Park HS Pom Team Wins CPS City Spirit Competition in the Large Varsity Pom Category on March 22, 2014. This is the Pom Team's 14th City Championship since 2000.
THE MORGAN PARK HS POM TEAM WINS AT 2014 UDA DANCE CAMP
The Morgan Park High School Pom Team were victorious at the UDA Dance Camp held at Eisenhower High School on July 10, 11 & 12, 2014. They competed against Eisenhower, Joliet Central, Leyden, Marist, Morton East, Oak Lawn, and Joliet West Schools. .
The new 2014-15 Pom Team won OutstandingTeam Leadership Award, Super School Spirit Award, Superior Award for Team Performances, 2nd Place Superior Award in Home Routine Performance, and three Pom Team Members (Poet Muhammad, Chardae Capler, & Kapri Dowdell) received Pin it Forward Pin Awards at this Dance Camp. The Pom Team also qualify to compete in the Chicagoland and National UDA Championship.
GOOD MORNING AMERICA PROMO APPEARANCE
Morgan Park HS Pom Team, Boys Varsity Basketball, and Marching Band are being featured on commercial promos for "Good Morning America's" Katy Perry's Concert during the week of September 2-6, 2013.
UDA DANCE CAMP- JULY 13 & 14, 2013
The Morgan Park High School Pom Team were victorious at the UDA Dance Camp held at Eisenhower High School on July 13 and 14, 2013. They competed against Eisenhower, Joliet, Evergreen Park, Marist, Morton, and other high schools.
The Morgan Park High School Pom Team won the following team awards: 110% Team Full Out Award, Superior Team Award, 2nd Place in the Home Routine, Super School Spirit Stick Award.
Individual awards included: Two Pay it forward Awards to Chardae Capler and Shaina Thompson; Shaina Thompson and Randi Crawford qualified for the UDA All American Team to perform at the Macy's Day Parade; Crawford won a Special Medal for the UDA All American Team and also qualified to perform with the UDA Dance Team in London, England. In individual dance performance awards, the girls won a total of 16 first place blue ribbons; one second place red ribbon, and one third place white ribbon.
